Privacy Policy

Overview

ExactUtility provides calculators, converters and image tools for everyday tasks. We designed the site to collect as little information as practical. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use ExactUtility and how the current site works.

Information you enter into tools

Values you enter into calculators and converters are processed in your browser by the site code and are not intentionally transmitted to ExactUtility as form submissions.

Some site searches can place the search term in the page URL. Because requested URLs are part of normal web traffic, those terms may appear in technical request logs handled by our hosting and security provider.

Images and browser-side processing

When an ExactUtility image tool states that processing happens locally or in your browser, the selected image is processed on your device using browser features such as canvas and image decoding. Those tools do not intentionally upload the image file to an ExactUtility application server. You should still keep an original copy of important files before converting, resizing or compressing them.

Technical information and hosting

ExactUtility is delivered through Cloudflare. Like most web infrastructure, Cloudflare may process standard technical information needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot requests, including IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser or device information, routing data and security signals. Cloudflare describes this type of processing in its own privacy materials.

Theme preference and local storage

If you switch between Light and Dark mode, ExactUtility stores your theme choice in your browser's local storage under a site-specific preference. This lets the site remember your choice on later pages and visits. You can remove that preference by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

At the effective date of this policy, ExactUtility's Google Analytics integration is disabled and advertising is disabled. ExactUtility does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies through its own site configuration. If we enable analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies later, we will update this policy and implement any consent or choice mechanisms required by applicable law before relying on them.

Some pages may request web fonts or other resources from third-party infrastructure. Those providers may receive standard request information when your browser retrieves those resources.

Accounts, email and information sales

ExactUtility does not currently require user accounts and does not currently provide newsletter signup, comments or a public contact form. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

Children

ExactUtility is a general-audience utility site and is not designed to collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through the current site features.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical measures and third-party infrastructure intended to help protect the site. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security. ExactUtility does not maintain a user-account database in the current version. Technical traffic and security data may be retained by infrastructure providers according to their services, settings and legal obligations.

Your choices

You can use most ExactUtility tools without creating an account. You may clear local site data through your browser, choose Light or Dark mode, and avoid entering information that you do not want processed by your device or included in a URL.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ExactUtility adds features or service providers. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
